Denise began her global corporate supply chain career in the automotive industry with Ford Motor Company. She led global supply chain organizations at both Eaton Corporation and Medtronic. As an Accenture Managing Director she led sales/delivery of consulting services and technology implementations. In her most recent corporate role with Silicon Valley start-up Aera Technology, Ms. Byers served as a trusted influencer to Fortune 500 operations, strategy, transformation, and information technology executives seeking to digitize and transform their global organizations in the Life Sciences, Food CPG, and Industrial industries.
Passionate about serving her community, focusing on adult and adolescent brain health; she currently serves on the University of Minnesota Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain (MIDB) Advisory Board. MIDB is dedicated to advancing brain health from the earliest stages of childhood development across their lifespan. Additionally, she serves as the Chairman of the Board for Restart Inc. MN. Restart is non-profit organization dedicated to serving adults who have suffered a brain injury and are unable to live independently.
Byers earned a BSBA from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, an MBA from the University of Detroit in Detroit, Michigan, and an MA from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She completed Harvard’s Board of Directors Governance class.
She earned her Certified Professional Coach certification from the College of Executive Coaching and Associate Certified Coach certification from the International Coaching Federation. Denise earned Master Coach and Culture Transformation certifications from John Mattone Global.
An investor in continuous improvement Ms. Byers, took an educational sabbatical in 2017, earning a second master’s degree at Harvard University in Management with an emphasis in digital supply chain and systems thinking.
An opera singer has a voice coach, an actor has a dialog coach, a pitcher has a throwing coach. Coaches teach skills and help people perfect them.
